Grief Recovery Method Program September 21-November 9
The Grief Recovery Method program provides a safe environment for you to look at your old beliefs about dealing with loss, which losses continue to affect your life, and take actions that will lead you to complete unresolved emotions that may still be causing you pain. It’s an action-based group, involves reading and writing assignments outlined in The Grief Recovery handbook – 20th Anniversary Expanding Edition. There is no cost for this program, but it does require a firm commitment to attend every session of the eight week program. Facilitated by Suzanne Zaw, Certified Grief Recovery Specialist, this 8-week program will begin Monday, September 21 to November 9, 2026 from 5:30 – 7:00pm in the Grace Parish Center. Mass of Thanksgiving with Bishop Castori Rescheduled to Wednesday, September 23 – 6pm
With joyful hearts, we invite our parish ‘ohana to gather for a special Mass at St. Michael Archangel as we welcome our newly appointed Bishop Michael Thomas Tupou Castori. All are welcome to share fellowship at a reception in the Grace Parish Center after Mass.
40DaysForLife begins September 23
The Respect Life Committee begins the 40DaysForLife Campaign, from Wednesday, September 23 to Sunday, November 1. This is an international event of 40 days of prayer and fasting for an end to abortion. You’re invited to join us in peaceful prayer during the 40-day vigil in the public right-of-way outside St. Michael’s church on Ali’i Drive. By prayer and fasting, we receive the grace to support those who have an unplanned pregnancy, and need guidance and assistance. We pray for an end to abortion. We pray that couples in crisis pregnancy will consider alternatives and choose life for their babies. We also provide public information on available community resources for pregnancy and post abortion healing retreats.

Immigration Ministry Seminar September 27
Come to our Immigration Ministry Seminar on Sunday, September 27th at 1:00pm in the Grace Parish Center! Attorney Evita will discuss federal immigration laws in an informational one-hour seminar. All questions will be answered.
Women of the Word Ministry Needs Your Kokua
Join the Women of the Word Ministry (WOW) with their new project to help Mental Health Kokua furnish their Ho’omau Hale, that will house 6 adult men and women who are striving to improve their mental health. We are looking for living room furniture, a dining table with six chairs, four night stands, a single bed frame and mattress, two dressers and four night stand lamps. The house has a large balcony that could hold an outdoor table and chairs, and deck chairs. If you or you know someone who is moving or replacing used furniture in good condition, we would love to repurpose the items for this good cause. Contact Shirley David at shirleydavid49@gmail.com.
Sharing Garden Needs More Helping Hands

Our Sharing Garden grows fresh vegetables and fruit to nourish our community. Volunteers gather on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays from 7 to 9:30am. We plant, weed, water, and harvest together in fellowship and service. The harvests are distributed at the St. Michael Food Pantry, Mālama Nā Keiki, and The Homes at Ulu Wini. St. Michael Statue Brick Garden – Final Phase Last Opportunity
If you’ve been thinking about purchasing a brick, this is the last opportunity to be part of this beautiful project. There are a few 4×8 and 8×8 bricks left. Information and order forms are available after Mass at the coffee station, at the kiosk, or from the Parish Office during the week.
Men of Faith Meet Wednesdays
Is meeting with fellow men of our parish and growing in your faith of interest to you? If yes, we invite you to join us every Wednesday from 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM on the St. Michael’s south lanai! We will reflect upon the prior Sunday’s readings and discuss how they can positively impact our lives. Special invitation: The last Wednesday of each month is extra special as we have a 5:30pm potluck dinner in the Grace Parish Center. Join us!

Women of the Word (WOW) Gather Fridays
Ladies of St. Michael’s . . . there is a new home for you. Please join the WOW (Women of the Word) group meeting every Friday from noon to 1:00 pm in the Grace Parish Center. Our group focuses on faith and fellowship. Having recently grown together through conversation around the book, Becoming Women of the Word, we are now moving to a new book entitled Jesus Approaches by Elizabeth Kelly. Way of the Cross Wednesdays for an End to Trafficking
Each Wednesday at noon, we pray the Stations of the Cross at St. Michael’s for the safety of all those who are held captive by traffickers for either sex or agricultural work and usually have no way of escaping the status of slavery. The prayers were developed by Bishop Silva and require about twenty minutes of your time. Please join us!
Blind and Visually Impaired Service Meetings
Please help support the newest program for the blind and visually impaired that will be administered by the Ho’opono Services for the Blind Division. Right now this program is only being offered on Oahu. The newly enacted legislation aims to provide support services to the blind and visually impaired individuals on the Neighbor Islands that would help them to integrate well within the communities they reside and provide opportunity where they have access to training to acquire new skills and also assist with barriers that are preventing them from achieving independence and self-sufficiency. There are three virtual meetings scheduled that interested parties can attend via zoom. Agenda items include an overview of the pilot project, stakeholder questions i.e. what services will be offer-ed, where and how often. You will also have the opportunity to offer your input for any services that you need.
