Our Pastoral Council Needs Your Help! Surveys Done During Month of May

The Pastoral Council is currently developing our next three-year plan. We need your input! Please let us know what’s in your heart. This is a stewardship parish which means every member contributes to directing and taking part in our church’s existence and function. Please help us make our Church a place that feeds your spiritual needs and ever growing relationship with Christ so you can better know, love, and serve Him.

The survey can be found on our website at saintmichael parishkona.org. Pastoral Council members will also be conducting surveys after Mass during the month of May.

Way of the Cross Wednesdays for an End to Trafficking

Each Wednesday at noon, we pray the Stations of the Cross at St. Michael’s for the safety of all those who are held captive by traffickers for either sex or agricultural work and usually have no way of escaping the status of slavery. The prayers were developed by Bishop Silva and require about twenty minutes of your time. Please join us!

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Wednesdays

Jesus chose the desert as a place to pray in solitude. He fought temptation, the temptations of the devil himself. Call upon the Lord to help you fight temptation. Often, we crowd out the opportunity to be victorious for Christ. We allow “My schedule”, “My time”, “My life” to come before the voice of Christ which says, “Come to Me”. When we permit this, temptation wins. Think about it! Try to pray as St. Augustine prayed, “God, give me the grace to triumph over my enemy, temptation.” You have a special hour of adoration waiting for you . . Wednesdays from 7:30am to 5pm. Call the office at 808-326-7771 to claim your victory!
