Today we celebrate the feast day of Saint Carlo Acutis (1991–2006), the millennial teen whose short life was shaped by his deep love for the Eucharist and his desire to share that love with others. Carlo was canonized a saint just last year on September 7, 2025. In the words of Pope Leo XIV, he is “an invitation to all of us, especially young people, not to squander our lives, but to direct them upwards and make them masterpieces.” Text by OCP

The Blessing of the Animals - Inspired by St. Francis of Assisi, which we celebrated his Feast Day on Oct. 4th, the 12th-century Italian saint and Catholic patron saint of animals and the environment, who viewed all living creatures as his brothers and sisters. The blessing honors the human-animal bond and gives thanks for stewardship over God's creation. Families can also bless their pets at home using a simple verbal prayer and holy water. The following Pet Blessing can be used: Blessed are you, Lord God, maker of all living creatures. You called forth fish in the sea, birds in the air, and animals on the land. You inspired St. Francis to call all of them his brothers and sisters. We ask you to bless this pet. By the power of your love, enable it to live according to your plan. May we always praise you for all your beauty in creation. Blessed are you, Lord our God, in all your creatures! Amen. #blessingoftheanimals #stfrancisofassisi

O God, by whom we are redeemed and receive adoption, look graciously upon your sons and daughters, that those who believe in Christ may receive true freedom and an everlasting inheritance. ⁣ #OneFamily #Scipture #Catholic #OrdinaryTime

O God, who willed that Saint John the Baptist should go ahead of your Son both in his birth and in his death, grant that, as he died a Martyr for truth and justice, we, too, may fight hard for the confession of what you teach. ⁣ #Saints #JohnTheBaptist

The Vietnamese Catholic Community at Holy Rosary Chapel: A Journey of Faith, Unity, and Hope By Fr. Francis Hai Pham “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.” (Psalm 133:1) The history of the Church has always been a story of people journeying together in faith. Wherever Catholics settle, they bring with them not only their language and culture, but more importantly their love for Jesus Christ, their devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and their desire to remain united with the universal Church.
