On Saturday, February 21, Sister Malia Wong invited over 70 St. Michael's Women of the Word and guests to slow down to find peace during our Lenten journey. Participants learned to use one word in meditation, to follow the peaceful actions of others, to savor a simple orange slice and create peaceful moments through art. The art project was creating an icon style painting of the Madonna on glass. Thank you to the Men of Faith for preparing and serving breakfast and lunch and for the Knights of Columbus for setting up the room.

Bread for the journey, walking with the WORD

This women’s retreat invites participants to slow down, listen deeply and walk alongside women of Scripture through guided reflection, creative prayer, and embodied practice. Participants will discover how one word, one gesture, or one faithful step can be carried home, nourishing everyday life as you are. Leave with bread for the journey.

Happy Aloha Friday!

You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God. -Leviticus 19:34 #allarewelcome
