For many of us, our parish has been a spiritual home – a place where we have celebrated the sacraments, gathered in prayer, found comfort during life’s joys and challenges, and grown in our relationship with Christ.
Legacy Sunday invites us to reflect on how we can help ensure that this gift of faith continues for generations to come.
Legacy planning begins with caring for those we love. It includes taking important steps such as creating or updating a will or trust, reviewing beneficiary designations, and completing health care directives so that our wishes are known and our loved ones are provided for.
For many Catholics, legacy planning also includes remembering the parish that has played such an important role in their faith journey. Through a planned gift, parishioners have an opportunity to express their gratitude while helping ensure that our parish continues to be a place where future generations can celebrate the sacraments, grow in faith, and encounter Christ.
Legacy Sunday is ultimately about stewardship – prayerfully reflecting on the gifts God has entrusted to us and considering how we can care for our loved ones while helping strengthen the future of our parish.
