Holy Tuesday - On Tuesday morning, Jesus and His disciples made their way back to Jerusalem. As they walked, they passed the fig tree that had withered, and Jesus used the moment to teach them about the power and necessity of faith. At the Temple, tensions rose as the religious leaders grew increasingly agitated by Jesus’ growing influence and His claims to spiritual authority. Determined to stop Him, they began plotting His arrest through a carefully planned trap. Later that afternoon, Jesus left the city with His disciples and went to the Mount of Olives, located directly east of the Temple with a clear view of Jerusalem. According to Scripture, it was also on this day that Judas Iscariot began his betrayal, meeting with the Sanhedrin to arrange his deal.
Holy Monday
Jesus returned to Jerusalem with His disciples and cursed a barren fig tree, symbolizing God's judgment—either on Israel's unfruitful religious leaders or on all believers lacking true faith. At the Temple, Jesus found corruption and drove out the money changers, cleansing the sacred space.
