Third Sunday of Easter (Year C) - May 4, 2025

In today's Gospel, Saint John presents us with the beautiful dialogue between Christ and Peter during which Peter affirms his love for the Lord and the Lord understands that this love will grow and mature over time as Peter shepherds his flock.

Second Sunday of Easter - Sunday of Divine Mercy - April 27, 2025
Divine Mercy Sunday, celebrated the first Sunday after Easter, is a time for reflection on God's boundless love and mercy, especially towards those who have struggled with sin. It's based on the private revelations of Jesus to St. Faustina Kowalska, who was given a message about the importance of approaching God in prayer, repenting, and seeking His mercy.

Prayer for a Deceased Pope
God, Who, in Thine ineffable providence, didst will that Thy servant Francis ... should be numbered among the high priests; grant, we beseech Thee, that he, who on earth held the place of Thine only-begotten Son, may be joined forevermore to the fellowship of Thy holy pontiffs. Through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son, Who liveth and reigneth with Thee in the unity of the Holy Ghost, God, world without end.
Amen.

We give heartfelt thanks and praise for the remarkable life of Pope Francis. A prophetic voice and steadfast champion of the poor and marginalized, he served with deep humility, always leading the people of God nearer to Jesus Christ. May he rest in peace.

Easter Sunday of the Resurrection of the Lord - April 20, 2025
If we think of Holy Week as being the most important week of the year for Christians, then today (which actually began with the vigil on Saturday) is the most important day of this week. Today we celebrate the triumph of the Lord. In the Gospel narrative that describes the empty tomb, other important images appear: the announcement of Mary Magdalene to Simon Peter and the other disciple and the impact of Christ's resurrection on apostolic life. liturgy.com

Holy Thursday - On the Thursday before his crucifixion, Jesus sent disciples to prepare the Passover meal. He washed their feet as an example of service. During this Last Supper, Jesus instituted Communion, using bread and wine to represent his coming sacrifice. Later, he prayed in Gethsemane, was betrayed by Judas, arrested by the Sanhedrin, and subsequently denied three times by Peter.
