The St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church Scholarship aims to empower young adults to become active witnesses of the Catholic faith. The scholarship encourages recipients to create positive community spaces where young people can grow in faith and evangelize others.

Scholarship Details

  • Award amount of $1,000 to $5,000 (based on available funds) to cover educational expenses.
  • New application each year for renewal consideration.
  • Supports students in developing and participating in a faith-based environment at their campus or local church.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be an incoming or current college student at an accredited university, college, community college, or technical school.
  • Must have a strong understanding of the Catholic faith and a commitment to sharing Christ’s teachings.
  • Aim to engage peers in faith and participate in a faith-based community.
  • Be a parishioner of St. Michael the Archangel.
  • If a scholarship is granted, agree to have the information listed in the weekly bulletin, website, and any other St. Michael’s publications.
  • Be available for in person or virtual interview.

Application Process

  1. Complete the scholarship application form.
  2. Submit application by March 15, 2026
  3. Top candidates will be notified by May 1, 2026.

In compliance with the requirements for this scholarship, you need to submit the following information:

  1. A complete transcript of my high school / college scholastic record.
  2. A personal letter explaining my Catholic faith importance to me and stewardship activities you have been involved with. (500 words or less. Use of AI may disqualify your application)
  3. Two (2) letters of recommendations from academic advisors.
  4. Letter of recommendation from your priest, deacon, or ministry leader.
