Scholarship Information

To encourage and assist our young adults to further their education, St. Michael’s is establishing a scholarship program for parishioners.

The St. Michael the Archangel Scholarship aims to empower young adults to become active witnesses of the Catholic faith, supporting students in developing and participating in a faith-based environment at their campus or local church.

The scholarship is available to incoming or current students at an accredited university, college, community college, or technical school.

The “stars” in Simbang Gabi are the iconic, star-shaped lanterns called Parols, which symbolize the Star of Bethlehem guiding the Magi to Jesus, representing hope, faith, and a guiding light for Filipino families to welcome Christ. These lanterns, made of bamboo and paper, are displayed everywhere during the nine-day novena of Masses, carried in processions, and hung in homes as beacons of God’s presence and the family’s readiness for Jesus.
